Centenary Celebrations

Congratulations to Park View Year 8's

Wednesday 6th April saw the first Centenary Cup competition contested between eight of the ten Chester-le-Street and Washington schools at Oxclose. In glorious sunshine the winners would be decided by combining the results of the Year 8 boys 11-a-side and the Year 8 girls 7-a-side competitions.

There was plenty of good football played by all of the represented schools on the day and Park View were deservedly crowned overall winners after winning both the boys and girls competitions. Biddick were runners up in the girls event and Framwellgate were unlucky to lose on penalties in the final of the boys competition. Thanks are due to Mr Beeston and Mr Thom especially for their organising and running of the day, which promises to become an integral part of the annual Chester-le-Street and Washington SFA's calendar.
